Inaugural Post: I've succumbed

I have fought it long enough - both as a technology laggard (I don't even own an iPod...oh the SHAME) and as someone who can't resist the urge to write stuff and hold it out for public consumption. 

Yes, I've become a blogger.  I haven't yet decided if it is a form of exhibitionism, narcissism, or some other -ism.  Perhaps the armchair (or diploma-bearing) shrinks amongst my readership can comment on this.

I suspect this will be a blog mostly about my thoughts on modern culture - politics, morals, lunacy.  I'll try not to turn it into a rant, but the occasionally adrenaline-fueled apoplectic catharsis typed in ALL CAPS is quite healthy for the soul, so perhaps expect some of that from time to time.  And just when you've got me entirely figured out, I'll behave unpredictably by either alternately liking or hating something that I shouldn't.  And maybe I'll do it just to annoy you.

Perhaps I'll eventually start multiple blogs if I have enough words in me...one for my love of jazz, one for my love of Sonab Carlsson speakers, one for my battles with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and reserve this one for my political/cultural musings. 

Who knows.  We'll take it a day at a time, so stay tuned.
